The Acworth Young Aldermen Program is a collection of high school students serving as a youth advisory board to the Acworth Mayor and Board of Aldermen. They provide insight on youth related matters and discuss ways to resolve issues pertaining to the youth community. Additionally, youth councils can implement and participate in a variety of youth-identified community service opportunities. The students involved in the program would most likely meet 2-3 times a month and would have the chance to lean how local governments operate. The committee would most likely take on one large community service project and complete it throughout the year.
