Allatoona’s First Prom

          Allatoona’s first prom is just around the corner. With the excitement of girls finding the perfect dress and the anticipation of being asked by the perfect date, this year’s prom will be the first of many great proms to come. The juniors and seniors voted and the votes were counted and the theme for the first Allatoona High School prom will be a “Midnight Masquerade.” Even though the theme is masquerade, attendees do not have to wear masks, but may if they would like. The masks should be masquerade masks. The main colors of the night are going to be black, silver, gold, creams and reds. Prom will be taking place at the Hilton, or formally known as the Marietta Conference Center. While girls hurry to find their fabulous dresses, boys should keep in mind about finding the best looking tux.

          Prom falls the weekend we come back from spring break, so plan ahead to make your prom one to never forget. Tickets will be cheapest before spring break March 31st through April 2nd and will be $50.00 per person who has paid dues and $60.00 per person who has not paid dues or attends another school. The week after spring break tickets will continue to be sold at a higher price; $55 per person with dues paid and $65 for people who have not paid dues or do not attend Allatoona. On April 15th and 16th tickets will be sold at an Emergency price of $75 dollars with no exceptions. So plan ahead to get the best price out of this year’s prom. Whether you are attending prom with a date or with a group of friends, make sure to plan ahead and make this prom unforgettable. The prom committee, lead by Ms. Haney and Ms. O’Conner, is taking song requests for the DJ to play. Drop by their rooms to put in any requests to play on prom night. The prom committee is working hard to make this dance an amazing first. So grab a date or some friends and we hope to see you on the dance floor.
