Lately the topic that has been popping into everyone’s conversation is Apple’s new product the iPad. This new kind of device is an awkward cross between a massive iTouch and a miniature laptop. It is 9.7 inches thick with a LED-Backlit IPS Display. The touch screen is supposed to have amazing precision. The battery has a life of 10 hours and of course, built-in speakers are included. The screen is perfect for watching movies and YouTube videos and you won’t have to worry about the battery dying. The iPad is also nicely eco-friendly by having an arsenic-free display glass, a mercury-free LCD display and recycled glass and aluminum are used used. It also conveniently only weighs 1.5 pounds, so it is definitely portable.

When it comes to Apple you can’t forget about the accessories! The main accessory that’s being promoted is the Keyboard Dock. The Keyboard Dock is the combination of a dock and a full-sized keyboard. This makes your experience with the iPad feel like you are typing on a real laptop. There is also a Standalone Dock that allows your iPad to sit on its side or stand up straight. This is beneficial when it comes to watching a movie or typing a long email.

While this product sounds like Apple thought of everything, they are forgetting something that would be very important to me: a camera. There is no available way for taking pictures or video with this device. There is also no outlet for external ports anywhere. You can’t plug in your flash drive and you have to buy an accessory to plug your memory card in to upload pictures from your camera. While you’re surfing on the web with your groovy new iPad you won’t be able to see half of it because you can’t download Adobe Flash Player at all. All in all, in my opinion, this does not seem like a very efficient product and I wouldn’t recommend buying it.
